iPhone Music workshop for low vision
Lighthouse was pleased to have a visiting team of experts to help set up and demonstrate the VoiceOver program to navigate the settings and menus on an iPhone. The workshop centered on music apps, but VoiceOver can read the menus, windows and settings of many apps.
A large percentage of low-vision and blind people are avid users of iPhones, because of the many apps that make life easier, including Siri to take verbal instructions and VoiceOver to read aloud what is on the screen.
Lighthouse of Manasota includes phone training in our Assistive Technology course, but it is always helpful to have visiting authorities on the subject.
