Transition Program
The Lighthouse Transition Program gives young adults (ages 14-22) the chance to have the greatest possible competence, mastery and enjoyment of life. Success is possible through teamwork. Students work with a team toward gaining independent living and job readiness skills. The team consists of the student, family, friends, educators and specialists.
- The IEP – it’s personal. The IEP is the Individualized Education Plan. A student’s IEP can include employment, plans for secondary education and job-readiness skills.
- Afternoon Sessions. Participate in weekly opportunities to work on independent goals that reinforce school and work experiences.
- Summer Experience. Transition Program students also have the opportunity to participate in a thematic summer day camp experience with different themes each year.
